Spruce MD does not accept any form of insurance. You can, however, use HSA and FSA dollars towards services. Additionally, a superbill can be requested from our Patient Coordinators and you can submit to your insurance provider. While we cannot guarantee insurance will apply costs of our services to your deductible, this has been successful for many patients.

Spruce MD is a cash-based, direct primary care model clinic. This model gives you more time with your physician or nurse practitioner, access to discounted medications and a more personalized healthcare experience that is not available through traditional insurance-based models. Unfortunately, traditional health insurance does not currently reimburse for the  prolonged patient visits and preventative care that make Spruce MD unique.

If you are relatively healthy, thee Comprehensive Membership is probably the right membership for you. Patients with chronic medical issues and those looking for VIP experience would likely benefit from the increased number of visits that come with the VIP Membership.

Yes! If you wish to pick up supplements, you can email or call our front office and our Patient Coordinators will have your supplements waiting. Feel free to drop in during business hours as well!

Yes! Our providers have medical licenses in these states: South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia. Inquire about virtual memberships.

Yes! If one person in a household is a Spruce MD member, a second family member can sign up for membership at a discounted monthly rate.

We understand that circumstances change, and we try provide flexibility while maintaining fairness to our patients. Take note of the cancellation policy below:

Month-to-month memberships:

• Final Payment: 30-day notice is required for cancellation and you consent to one final payment equal to your monthly rate. 
• Access Period: Your access to care continues for the month following your final payment. 
• You will need to email our Patient Coordinators at [email protected] to initiate cancellation.

Annual Memberships: 

• Annual memberships are non-refundable. You will have access to Spruce MD services through your 12-month agreement.

Refunds will not be given for any unused medical or dietician visits or unused or remaining time in your membership. We do not offer refunds on any of our membership plans. Please note that even after your membership has ended, you’ll have continued access to your visit notes, lab records, and handouts in your patient portal.
