I started with Spruce MD when my husband & I retired to Greenville in 2020, right in the middle of Covid. We had no physician & I wanted a fresh start with someone who looked at the body from a holistic viewpoint. I was thrilled to find Spruce MD & Dr. Mary Brittain Blankenship. While our first appointment was virtual, it was extremely thorough. I was impressed & signed on for the long haul. I've now been going to Dr. Blankenship now for 5 years. My labs are WAY better. Cholesterol is down, blood pressure is under control, inflammation markers low. I've lost weight. I feel much better! Dr. Blankenship is smart, is up-to-date on the latest information & cares about you as a person. Besides Dr. Blankenship being a wonderful physician, Spruce MD has a great support staff. I can't say enough about their nutritionist Katherine Taylor, as well as their patient coordinator (right-hand woman) Rebecca Milling. Highly recommend Spruce MD Integrative Medicine.

After starting sessions with Katherine Taylor, RD I was immediately impressed with how engaged she was in determining a strategy for my unique UC situation and not reading from a script or some guided process. I love my monthly facials with Megan. It’s the most relaxing experience and I feel good knowing that she uses products that are non toxic and actually good for my skin. She also takes the time to educate me on things regarding my skin ( and so much more too - but that’s just a bonus).

Our family loves Dr. Shiffman. She has taken the very best care of us the past 7 years in both Virginia and North Carolina (she is licensed to see virtual patients in these states, as well as South Carolina). Last year, I was experiencing annoying pulsatile tinnitus that affected my sleep every night. After a few unhelpful visits to an ENT doctor, Dr. Shiffman made the connection to low iron. She suggested an over-the-counter iron supplement and a few weeks later, the pulsing stopped and has never returned. Katherine has been my dietitian for the past 4 years and she has completely changed my knowledge and lifestyle related to food.
